Clevedon Marine Lake

Based on our experience in the design and conservation of civil and marine structures, Fenton Holloway was appointed as the lead consultant responsible for the restoration, major repair and improvement of the 1929 tide-filled leisure marine lake on the Bristol Channel. The project, winner of an ICE Regional Award in 2016, involved major works of strengthening and increasing the height of the sea wall, as well as rock stabilisation work, the construction of a new promenade with surfacing in fibre-reinforced concrete, the installation of new sluices, new access ramps and a children’s play area.
