Restoration & Analysis

This £12m HLF funded conservation of this famous ship provides an exciting and interesting visitor experience. An interpretation centre within existing dockyard buildings links with the ship via a gangway.  As part of the restoration process Fenton Holloway carried out a condition survey and analysis of the iron hull. This has involved the detailed examination of the hull and the development of a physically accurate digital model incorporating parameters reflecting the extent of corrosion in individual elements.
